Our Journey
Our Journey
The Liberties, one of Dublin’s oldest neighbourhoods, has long been a hub of trade, craftsmanship, and strong community connections. By 1907, it was a bustling center of industry and artisan work, with trading traditions dating back to medieval times. It was home to Dublin’s guilds and markets, where merchants and craftsmen thrived. The early 20th century saw The Liberties gain prominence in weaving, textiles, brewing, and distilling, becoming a vital contributor to Dublin's economy.

Textiles and Tailoring
The Liberties earned a reputation for excellence in textile production and tailoring. My great-grandfather, Patrick O’Reardon, was one of the skilled artisans who flourished in the area’s workshops, crafting high-quality garments for both local and international markets. The neighbourhood was also renowned for its breweries and distilleries, including the iconic Guinness Brewery and Powers Distillery, which became symbols of quality and tradition. Together, these industries shaped the economic and cultural identity of The Liberties.
Street Markets
The vibrant markets of Meath Street and Thomas Street have always been central to the life of The Liberties, offering everything from local produce to handcrafted goods. These markets continue to embody the spirit of the community and remain vital trade hubs to this day.
Throughout the 20th century, The Liberties became a symbol of resilience, maintaining its heritage of quality craftsmanship and fostering a supportive community even in the face of economic challenges.
A New Legacy
Sarah and I met in Australia, got married in Toronto, and had our first child in Amsterdam. When we returned to Canada in 2019, we welcomed our second child and founded Source Find Canada, inspired by the values of our travels around the world together of craftsmanship and community that define my Dublin heritage.
Like my great-grandfather Patrick, who established his tailor shop on Abbey Street, we prioritize trust, quality, and relationships. We work with brands that embody quiet luxury, sustainability, and exceptional craftsmanship, offering Canadian consumers products rooted in tradition and modern ethics.

Our business reflects the values that guided Patrick’s work:

-
Craftsmanship: Collaborating with brands that uphold high standards of artistry and precision.
-
Quality: Building strong relationships with partners, grounded in integrity and trust.
-
Sustainability: Emphasizing ethical sourcing and environmentally responsible production.
-
Community: Supporting local initiatives and fostering strong connections across Canada.

Today, Source Find Canada honours our Dublin heritage while adapting it to the Canadian market. We don’t just distribute luxury apparel; we continue a legacy of values—craftsmanship, quality, and community—at every stage of our journey.
